Dayton, OH
about the project
Mound Street Academy provides a diverse group of young people between the ages of 16 & 22 a second chance to earn their high school diploma. The existing cafeteria, the break room from the original repurposed record storage facility was transformed into an environment with clean new finishes, graffiti art, graphic partition walls and bold color energy.
Design concepts included a Dayton skyline graffiti mural, inspirational character words layered within partition panels and the school logo. Barn door graphic panels were used to hide electrical panels and large pattern FRP subway tiles were used to replace 90’s era wallpaper.
