“Bigger, Better, Faster” is the theme for the changes within Vanderbilt Dining Commodore Room. Because students are busier and more demanding than ever, the Vanderbilt Dining team spent several months planning upgrades that deliver what the students wanted: bigger, better and faster.
CX2 is a high volume hamburger, chicken sandwich and chicken strip concept designed to increase the number of lunch customers served during peak times in a fun and “Extreme” atmosphere. The Extreme atmosphere was chosen based on the rising popularity of extreme sports.
The tag line for CX2, “Built For Speed,” indicates the style of service, which is made possible by custom-made equipment spanning 54 s.f. and sporting 22 heating lamps. The extreme sports theme includes snowboarding, kayaking, BMX, rock climbing, repelling and rollerblading. Digital video and DVD players were used to animate the CX2 brand identity within the ever changing video sign.
