Channelview, TX
about the project
This open space high school food court accommodates 4 serving lines, snack bar and large sunken seating area. Restaurant brands were developed for each of the 4 serving lines and the dishroom conversion at the snack bar. Each serving venue was developed with a unique theme and reinforced with large format wall art framed by galvanized fence rails.
Multi-layered soffit identity signs were framed by galvanized construction studs to resemble billboard frames. Corrugated metal awnings were used to create a rhythm brake between each identity sign.
Menu boards consisted of magnetic chalk laminate mounted within industrial galvanized fence rails. Each of the restaurant brands were repeated at the serving line level between the menu boards. Restaurant concepts include:
– Tagliatella
Italian fare made the homestyle way.
– Fireblock Grille
Reminiscent of a backyard barbecue.
– Skillet Tomatada
Southwestern & Americana fare .
– Red Hot Chicken Co.
All things chicken.
– The Nickel Box
Snack Bar.
