Barbers Hill, TX
about the project
Our team was hired to develop a graphic design renovation plan for a dated closed line middle school facility. Inspired by the industrial economy of the area, our conceptual design incorporated elements that could be found in and around an old warehouse or alley, including brick panels, billboard signage, traffic signage, windows and graffiti.
The school mascot & colors were incorporated into the “eagle alley” brand, “go big blue” graffiti and “the roost” snack shack. Faux brick panels and a billboard were used to frame the “eagle alley” logo. Old windows, traffic signage, galvanized metal and graffiti were all used to create the atmosphere of a pre-teen hangout used for skateboarding, bike riding and social interaction.
The industrial theme continued within the serving area with building shaped wainscoting and magnetic/chalk menu boards highlighted with HVAC piping.
